These coloring pages are also a great way to practise fine motor skills and re-inforce preschool concepts and skills including letter tracing, completing patterns and counting.

Free Monster Coloring Pages and Printable Activity Pages
Page 1 – Monster Trace the letters
These cute little mythical creature is asking the kids to trace all of the letters. Take a pencil and carefully follow along the dotted lines
Page 2 – Monster Family – Color the silly monsters
This page can be left to children’s imagination to decorate this family of adorable monsters however they would like. Alternatively you can use this for an attention and listening activity by giving instructions such as
- The biggest monster is the mum – colour her red
- Colour the two small monsters in matching colours
- Which one will be the brother monster? Give him stripes
- The monster Dad has feet that are two different colours…
And so on – you can make up any instructions as you go. Print another copy and reverse the roles, to have your child give you instructions to follow about the monster family coloring.
Page 3 – Complete the Monster Patterns
Completing patterns in a logical sequence is a simple way to develop early mathematical and logical skills in young children. This is a fun activity for their little developing brains and young children of around 3 years old will be able to recognise basic repeating patterns such as yellow-red-yellow-red…. or green green blue, green green blue… as shown on the sheet.
Pages 4-8 Monster Count and Color Pages
Color the Monster numbers and the matching amount of monsters on each page – starting with one friendly monster and working up to five.
Page 9 – Color the monster numbers 1-5
On this page, the monster numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 are all together ready to be colored and decorated. Kids can enjoy decorating and picking different fun colors for their eyes, spikes, the sharp teeth in their giant mouth, and bodies.
Pages 10-12 : Design your own Monster
Design and create your own monster using just a basic shape outline for inspiration. See how many different versions the kids can come up with. Which one is your favorite monster?
On these pages we have provided the shape monster templates for hexagon, circle and blob monster but this is just the beginning. Cut out some basic shapes and try to make even more shape monsters – Can you make a triangle monster, or a star monster? Kids can get creative beyond crayons and pencils, to add some googly eyes, sequins and glitter, ribbon, pipe cleaners or whatever you can find in the craft cupboard.
Make your own Halloween monster, friendly funny monster, or evil and terrifying monster – whichever you prefer.

Page 13 – Cute monster coloring sheet
Print out this cute and adorable little monster to colour and decorate. This baby monster is hardly scary at all!
