  • Get a separate bank card for online payments and top it up with exactly the amount needed. In the event of a leak of this data, the fraudsters will receive only the money intended for a specific purchase. All other funds will be transferred to another card.

Device security and maintenance

  • Use only licensed software. Such software is better protected — there are fewer vulnerabilities to be exploited on the device or network. Moreover, a wide variety of malware can be embedded in pirated software.
  • Set up a guest Wi-Fi network. Malware can enter a home network not only from the Internet, but also from guest devices. To avoid this, you need to create a secondary network — it will be isolated from the main LAN. Accordingly, malware cannot spread from it to the devices that you connect to the host network.
