Tools
Instructions
- Start with a Bang! Grab that toilet paper roll and cover it in vibrant red paint.
Red is the color of energy, happiness, and luck, especially in Chinese culture, making it perfect for New Year's festivities too. Let the roll dry completely before moving to the next step. - Let's Spark Some Fire! While waiting for the paint to dry, it's time to create the flames. Cut different sizes and styles of flames from your colorful construction papers.
Think reds, oranges, and yellows to mimic the fiery tones. Then, bunch them together
and attach them to one end of the straw.
This will be the bursting fire coming out of your firecracker! - Seal the Deal: Using the felt paper, cut out a small circle
and glue it to one end of the toilet paper roll.
This seals your firecracker and gives it a neat finish.
- Attach the Fire: Now, for the grand finale! Glue the other end of the straw with the paper flames into the sealed toilet paper roll.
Voilà! You've got yourself a fantastic firecracker.
