I had been wanting to start the boys in swimming lessons for a while, but wasn’t sure where was the best place to go. We decided to give one of our local Everyone Active leisure centres a try and have been happy with the lessons there.

The Lion King is back, and this time in TV form. The Lion King was undoubtedly one of the biggest Disney movies of the 90s, so I know I’m not the only one excited to see these characters being brought back. It’s great when our childhood favourites can span the generations! With the new Disney Junior show, kids will get to know and love the new character of Kion, the son of Simba and Nala, and I have a feeling it’s going to be great!
The epic storytelling of Disney’s “The Lion King” continues with “The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar,” a brand new television movie premiering in February 2016 on Disney Channel. The movie follows Kion, the second-born cub of Simba and Nala, as he takes on the role of leader of the Lion Guard, a team of animals tasked with preserving the Pride Lands. The movie is a precursor to “The Lion Guard” television series, airing later in 2016 on Disney Junior.
In the cold weather, it’s so good to be able to snuggle up and keep warm and comfy. We were sent a kids sleeping bag from SlumberSac which is great for keeping kids nice and warm, especially if they have a tendency to throw the duvet off them in their sleep.
We used baby sleeping bags with the boys often when they were little, but once they get a bit older it’s not so easy to find sleeping bags for that age group, and they transitioned over to duvets. My 5 year old T loves sleeping bags though, as he likes being snugly wrapped up so the slumber sac kids sleeping bag is particularly good for him.
We were sent the children’s green camouflage sleeping bag from Slumbersac to try out and it’s great.
My boys are really into dressing up at the moment. If you come to our house, chances are you’ll find at least a couple of them running around in superhero costumes or some kind of fancy dress. We’re always expanding our collection, so I was happy to test out a few costumes from Fun Warehouse with them.
Fun Warehouse have a pretty wide collection, where you can find outfits based on all kinds of kids characters, as well as historical and book day costumes, and costumes for seasons like Halloween or Christmas.
Florabunda Style is a new book, which has been described as the next generation of Zentangle. If you’re into zentangle, or have been inspired by grown up colouring and want to take your creativity further, then this is a great book to try out.

The movie tells the tale of Dylan (Ed Oxenbould – Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day) who we see at the start of the movie having a hard time, with his father in a deep depression after the loss of his mother. Through the paper plane making, Dylan goes on his own journey which leads him to meet junior Japanese champion, Kimi, and they develop a close bond challenging each other to build the most beautiful paper plane ever made.

With Halloween coming up, Hotel Transylvania 2 is the a perfect spooky yet not too scary movie to enjoy with all the family. It’s a follow up to Hotel Transylvania 1, which we actually have not seen but will definitely catch up on.
