Chocolate Nest Recipe

Make these yummy chocolate nests. This simple-to-make recipe is ideal for any Easter party.

Ingredients:   

  • 225g /8oz plain chocolate, broken into small pieces
  • 2 tbsp golden syrup
  • 50g / 2oz butter
  • 75g / 3oz cornflakes
  • 12 x mini chocolate eggs for decoration

Line a 12-hole muffin tin with paper cases and put to one side while you prepare the mixture.

Over a pan of simmering water, melt the plain chocolate, butter and golden syrup into a heat-proof bowl. Stir as you go.

Once melted together, carefully remove the bowl from the heat and stir in the cornflakes until they are all covered in chocolate.

Split the mixture between the cases and add one chocolate egg to the top of each nest. Put in the fridge for an hour or more, to set.
