How To Use The Summer Scavenger Hunt Printable Game
There are many different ways to play using the Scavenger Hunt printable, we’ll go over a few of them below…
Here’s how to play: Real Life Scavenger Hunt
- Print out the scavenger hunt lists: Each list is filled with objects and items to discover. From spotting a rainbow to splashing in the swimming pool, every item is an adventure waiting to happen.
- Give each child (or team of kids) a list: Explain that their task is to find or experience each item on the list. Remind them it’s not a race – it’s about exploration and enjoying the journey!
- Let the fun begin: Watch as they start exploring and ticking items off their lists. You’ll be amazed at their determination, creativity, and the pure joy they experience!
Here’s how to play: Picture Card Scavenger Hunt
If you don’t have these items available to easily find over the summer, or you want the kids to be able to complete the whole sheet a little more easily, there is a solution.
Print out two copies of each page. Give one copy to the kids to use as their scavenger hunt checklist, and with the other copy, use the dotted lines to cut out the pictures and hide them all around your play space (such as the park, or your backyard) and then set the kids on the hunt to find everything and tick them off on their scavenger hunt sheet.
More Games With the Scavenger Hunt Printable Pages
You can also play a fun guessing game using the scavenger hunt pages. One player picks an item and gives clues until the other player can guess which picture it is.
You can also use the cards to play a simple bingo game where players have to race to fill up their sheet with the matching picture cards. Again, print two copies of each sheet then place the picture cards face down and take turns lifting cards to see who completes their page first.
