If you’re planning a space theme week at home or in the classroom, this printable pack is designed to make it simple, flexible, and genuinely exciting. Whether you’re working on a full outer space theme for school, putting together a kids space theme at home, or just looking for fresh activities for space theme learning, these pages give you structure without making it overwhelming.

We created this Outer Space Week set to work for mixed ages, because let’s be honest, space themed learning tends to pull everyone in. Some kids want hands-on experiments. Others want to design rockets. Some want to debate aliens. So instead of one rigid plan, we made two activity grids plus planning pages you can adapt to your own space themes.
You absolutely do not need to complete every activity in the week. These grids are there to inspire and guide you. Pick what works. Mix and match between the two versions. Stretch it across two or more weeks if you want.
Use it alongside your own ideas as part of a bigger planet theme unit if preferred. Combining with a trip to a planetarium or space museum near you is also a great idea!

Planning Pages Explained
These are the planning pages included in the pack, if you would like to use.
Weekly Notes Pages
There’s a weekly note page for each day of the week with space for morning, lunch, and afternoon planning. These are ideal if you’re using this as a space theme for school or homeschool structure. You can map out which activities you’re actually doing and make quick notes on adjustments.

Activity Checklist
Use this to track which activities you’ve prepped and completed. It’s especially helpful if you’re pulling ideas from both grids and mixing younger and older activities together.

Supply Checklist
This page keeps your space theme ideas organized. List what you need for each day so you’re not scrambling for paint or baking soda at the last minute.

Goals Page
The goals page helps you think about what you want your kids to learn from the week. Maybe you’re focusing on science understanding, creative writing, teamwork, or presentation skills. Having it written down keeps your outer space theme intentional.

Notes Page
The notes page gives space to reflect on what worked, what didn’t, and which activities got the best results. It’s also useful for jotting down ideas for your next planet theme or future space themes.

How to Use This Space Theme Pack
This printable works really well whether you’re doing a full outer space theme week, researching activities for a kids space theme birthday and adding structured activities to a space themed party setup, or just getting ideas for upcoming ways to make this topic fun at home or in the classroom.
You could even tie in some space theme decoration, a space theme outfit day, or coordinate it with a space theme cake celebration.
Remember, this is a guide. You don’t need to complete every single activity. You don’t need to stick strictly to the age level. You can absolutely mix a younger craft with an older debate. The goal is to learn, explore, and enjoy the themes of space in a way that works for your family, class or group.
