Simple Superhero handprint craft for Father's Day
Materials
- Free Printable Template
- Printer Paper
- Washable Red Paint
- Crayons, Markers, Coloring Pencils
- Small Photo of Dad
Tools
- Printer
- Paint Brush
- A Helping Hand
- Scissors
- Glue
Instructions
- Print out the template from intheplayroom.co.uk
- Paint the hand red, using the paint brush
- Carefully place the red hand print on the paper to make the Superhero cape
- Leave the paint to dry until its dry to the touch
- While the paint is drying, cut out a small picture of Dad's face ready to glue onto the picture for the superhero face
- Your child can color the rest of the picture using wax crayons, pencil crayons, markers or whatever they prefer
- Write a message for Dad on the back

To make this into a Father’s Day card, take some colored card stock and fold in half to make a card shape.
Glue your finished picture to the front.
You can change up the colors of the handprints to match Dad’s favorite Superhero.
If he loves Batman more than superman, just switch up the red paint for black. The great thing about this craft idea is that it can be personalised so easily to make it even more special for Dad.

Have your child place their hand down onto the page where the cape will be, and draw or trace around their hand with a crayon.
Color in the crayon handprint and the superhero picture to complete the craft.
Supplies
For handprint crafts you want to make sure you use child friendly paint that is washable.
We like to go with ready mixed paint from a good quality brand like Crayola. This is non toxic and should wash off clothes and surfaces, of course still take care to minimise the mess where possible and don’t paint in your best expensive clothes.
