Materials

  • Fuzzywires
  • Cardboard Egg carton
  • Black paint ● Paintbrush ● Scissor
  • ● Marker
  • ● Cardboard

Tools

  • Pipe Cleaners (black)
  • Cardboard Egg carton / Egg box
  • Black Paint (acrylic paint or kids washable paint is fine, eg crayola ready mixed paints)
  • Paint brush
  • Scissors
  • Black Marker
  • Glue eg a hot glue gun or glue dots
  • Cardboard

Instructions

  1. Gather all of your materials ready to begin the craft
  2. Cut just one section from the egg carton, this will be used for the spider's body.
  3. Paint the egg carton black and let it dry, transforming it into a spooky spider body.
  4. Prepare 8 pipe cleaners, aka fuzzy wires and attach 4 on each side to create those wiggly legs that spiders are famous for. You will want to use a strong glue to connect these, such as a hot glue gun or glue dots.
  5. Craft the eyes by cutting small circles from the cardboard shade the inner part with a marker, and attach them to give our spider a friendly face.
  6. Finish off by folding the outer part of the spider’s feet a little, giving it that realistic spider stance.
