Giveaway: The Taming of the Tights by Louise Rennison

the taming of the tightsI remember Louise Rennison books coming out when I was a teenager myself, and now over 10 years later she is still going strong!

Louise Rennison – THE author for teenage girls

Louise Rennison is the best selling award-winning author of the phenomenally successful ‘Confessions of Georgia Nicolson’ series, which was translated into over 34 languages and went to the stage and big screen as ‘Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging’. She has won the Nestle Smarties Book Prize, the Michael L. Printz Honor Book and the Roald Dahl Funny prize for ‘Withering Tights’.
TAMING OF THE TIGHTS is the 3rd of the Misadventures of Tallulah Casey series, which also include Withering Tights and A Midsummer Tights Dream, and is aimed at age 11 years+.

Tallulah Casey is putting all thoughts of wild boy Cain behind her. He is literally an animal in trousers… oo-er.  Not like nice boy Charlie (who she’s totally not thinking about either). The Tree Sisters are chasing those golden slippers of applause at performing arts college but Dr Lightowler seems hell-bent on spoiling everything for Tallulah. And with all her mates loved up, can Tallulah resist the call of her wild boy. Packed with boys and mates, join Tallulah Casey and pals for more (boy snogging) misadventures and maybe you too will feel the urge to put on the Golden Slippers of Applause.

  1. definately the Judy Blume books…explores all those feelings that young teens are feeling and a good read too…I remember reading them when i was a young teen.

  2. Gangsta Granny by David Walliams.

Televised version was shown over Christmas and any youngsters who enjoyed that will love the book.

  3. I think Wind in the Willows is perfect not just for this age group but all it makes you use your imagination which sadly some kids dont use these days

  4. Harry potter series. Chronicles of Narnia series. Famous Five series. there are so many great books out there for kids, depends how well they can read!

  5. Jacqueline Willson, Stephanie Meyer, Malorie Blackman, Michael Grant – depends what age they are reading it at, I read Louise Rennison when I was 10 but reread them all at 15 and still love them all!

  6. My daughter who is 13 loves the Cathy Cassidy books. She has also just started on the hunger games triology and is really enjoying them.
