- Glue
Tools

Instructions
- First Gather up all your supplies.
- Start by wrapping the bottom of a jumbo craft stick in black yarn.
- To do this, we used tape to hold the beginning of the yarn in place. You could also use glue dots or hot glue.
- Then, simply wrap the black yarn around about half of the craft stick.
- When finished, secure the end in place. Again, we used tape but you can also use glue dots or hot glue.
- Do the same with the red yarn, but leave the top unwrapped.
- Now, draw a simple eye patch with a black pen.
- And draw the rest of the face, too.
- Finally, print out the pirate hat templates (in the blog post, free PDF download) This includes 3 ways to make your pirate hat. The simplest way is to simply cut out the black hat and glue in place. But you can also color your own or use the pieces to trace on black and white cardstock.
- Whichever method you used to make your pirate hat, glue the hat in place at the very top of the craft stick.
- Allow all the glue to dry and your pirate craft is ready!
