Instructions

  1. Step 1: Prepare Your Materials

Begin by selecting your craft papers. Choose different shades of yellow or orange along with white and grey papers to give your toucan a vibrant look. Print out the template patterns and carefully cut them out. These templates will include the beak base, lower beak, feet, wing, tail feather, body base, and the front part of the body. Once your templates are ready, trace these patterns onto your selected craft papers and cut them out neatly.
  2. Step 2: Assemble the Body

Take the front part of the body and attach it to the front side of the body base cutout. Make sure it's aligned properly to give your toucan a neat appearance.
  3. Step 3: Create the Beak

Next, attach the lower beak cutout to the bottom side of the beak base. This step will form the iconic toucan beak, which is one of its most distinctive features.
  4. Step 4: Attach the Beak

Now, attach the assembled beak to the top front side of the body base, right on the head part. Your toucan is starting to take shape!
  5. Step 5: Add the Feet

Attach the feet cutouts to the bottom side of the body base pattern. Position them carefully to ensure they align well with the rest of the body.
  6. Step 6: Tail Feather Time

Attach the tail feather to the bottom side of the body base, ensuring the feet are in front of it. This will give your toucan a balanced and complete look.
  7. Step 7: Attach the Wing

Take the wing cutout and attach it to the right side of the body base pattern. Importantly, keep the lower side of the wing free from glue. This allows you to insert a page between the body base and the wing, transforming your toucan into a functional bookmark.
  8. Step 8: Draw the Eye

Finally, use a sharpie to draw the eye on your toucan papercraft figure. This final touch will bring your toucan to life, giving it a personality and charm.
