  • Scissors: To cut out your Pokémon shapes.
  • Glue: To stick all your pieces together.
  • Markers: For adding details to your Pokémon.
  • Puncher: To create a hole for your fastener.
  • Construction Paper: To craft your Pokémon.
  • Fasteners: To bind your Poke Ball plates together.

Tools

  • Printer for template, if using

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting a paper plate in half. Paint one half with your red paint and the other half with white. These will form the top and bottom of your Poké Ball.
  2. Print out the Pokémon template (Pikachu is provided) and trace it onto your construction papers. Carefully cut out the shapes and piece them together.
You can also print the template for the belt shape around the middle of your pokeball.
  3. Attach a black paper strip (the belt) around the middle of the red half of your paper plate to mimic the Poké Ball's design, and add a white circle for the middle of the belt.
  4. Put together your Pikachu pieces, using markers to add the necessary details like eyes or his red cheeks. and the black tips on his ears and tail as well as his smile and drawing in his arms.
  5. Punch a hole at the center edge of each half of the paper plate and use a fastener to join them together. This allows your Poké Ball to open and close!
  6. While doing this step place another paper plate at the back to keep the pokemon contained while the front of the pokeball opens up. You can use the same fastener to connect both plates and allow the front of the Pokeball to open.
  7. Hide Pikachu Inside. Place your crafted Pikachu inside the Poke Ball. Now, your Poké Ball is ready to surprise everyone!
