If you’re looking for a simple, fun craft to do with your little ones this Fall, this handprint owl craft is not only adorable but also easy to make with just a few materials you likely have at home. This is one of our quickest and easiest crafts, meaning that it’a perfect for even the littlest toddlers. Of course older kids can enjoy this too as well as the younger kids.

Owl crafts are great for Autumn, it’s the perfect time of year for a woodland theme. Many schools choose woodland animals to make up the class names for the younger students, so my kids have been in owl class before (as well as hedgehog class and squirrel class), so this would be a perfect classroom craft in that case. It’s also a perfect activity for a cozy afternoon or a creative weekend project!

You only need a few basic items to make this owl come to life! Black, white, and orange construction paper form the owl’s head body, eyes, and beak. A marker adds detail, and double-sided tape holds it all together. Scissors are the only tool required, making this craft safe and simple for young crafters. The materials are likely already in your craft stash, so you’re ready to go!

Follow along with the instructions in the step by step below to make your own adorable owl craft

- Use double-sided tape or glue to stick them to the top of the handprint.

- Add the Details: With the black marker, add a dot to the center of each circle to complete the owl's eyes. These dots give the owl its adorable, wide-eyed look!

- Make the Owl's Beak: Now, cut a small triangle from the orange construction paper. Attach this just below the eyes to create the owl's beak.
