Wahaca Mother’s Day Giveaway: Win a £60 Voucher and a Signed Cook Book!

To celebrate Mother’s Day, we’re collaborating with Wahaca to offer one reader the chance to win a £60 Wahaca dine-in Vouchers so they can treat their Mum (or themselves if they prefer!) with tacos once restaurant doors are open again. And they’ll also receive a cookbook, signed by Wahaca co-founder Thomasina Miers, to help create delicious Mexican dishes at home.

With a delicious menu of fresh, vibrant Mexican street food, there’s plenty to enjoy – from tasty tacos with Wahaca’s famous Pork pibil or delicious Buttermilk chicken to crispy taquitos, flavour-packed salads and zinging salsas

And the food’s not just tasty to the Mex, it’s also not going to cost the earth – Wahaca is the UK’s first carbon-neutral restaurant group, all its ingredients are sustainably sourced and it uses only free range British chicken and pork

Wahaca’s new bottled cocktails are the perfect way to raise a toast this Mother’s Day – Tommi’s classic margarita contains a double shot of Gran Centenario tequila shaken up with agave nectar and lime juice, and there’s also a fabulously fruity Passion fruit margarita as well as a Strawberry & mint daiquiri that’s brand new for Mother’s Day

What to Include in Your Media Kit & £100 Giveaway

Blogging can be a really fun hobby – a way to share your thoughts and ideas with the world. But if you’re lucky, and open to collaborating with brands, you can definitely turn your blog or website into a source of income too. This is such a convenient way of working for many mums like us, as we can organise our own schedule around the kids and work from home, choosing the opportunities and projects that suit our needs.

If you are new to blog monetisation, or thinking about moving in this direction – you may be wondering where to start. One of the most valuable things you can do to get yourself prepared for brand collaborations is to create your own media kit.

Using a media kit is a simple way to keep track of all of your blog’s traffic and social figures, and give a quick overview of what you can offer. Having this information all in one place and easily digestible makes things easier both for yourself and for the brands that you’re working with. It’s also a great way to sell yourself, and to explain what is it about your site that makes you different and unique.

What to Include in Your Media Kit?

Design Your Dream Garden Competition

In Partnership with Cheshire Artificial Grass.

Children’s creativity is endless! They have the imagination to dream up the wackiest and most inventive ideas, and at times during our busy lifestyles, we do not always take the time to marvel at their thoughts and creations. In partnership with Cheshire Artificial Grass, we set up a Facebook competition to celebrate the inspiring minds of our children.

Outdoor play and creative thinking are essential for child development. Our aim was to encourage children to unleash their creative skills and help get children more engaged with their garden (the place where outdoor play comes alive).

To enter the competition, children were asked to design their dream garden and send in their artistic creations to be in with a chance to win an arts and craft set.

We were fortunate to have so many amazing entries and every one of them deserved a prize but unfortunately, there could only be one winner.

Although one lucky child won an arts and craft set, we did not want the other children’s artistic creations to go unnoticed!

Here are 8 garden entries picked at random for you to enjoy:

Evelyn’s Garden

This garden is full to the brim with trees! We really liked how Evelyn pictured her garden filled with nature and lots of green (the greener the better)! We would like to thank Evelyn for her lovely drawing and entering the competition.

Discovery Dinosaur 3D effect Jigsaws Review and Giveaway

You can’t beat a good puzzle, and the kids and I have been having fun with a new range of Discovery Dinosaur puzzles each with 150 pieces.

These Dinosaur Puzzles, made by Kidicraft, are from the Discovery range of 3D effect puzzles which are manufactured using new Prime 3D lenses to give greater depth and motion to the images.

The 3D style really is effective, they felt as if the dinosaurs were really coming out of the jigsaws! And it also adds a little more challenge to completing the puzzles as it’s a style we haven’t tried before.

tonies® Toniebox Review and Giveaway

When my boys were little, I found audiobooks so helpful with getting them settled at bedtime and encouraging them to lie in their beds happily while they fell asleep. I had been wanting to try something similar with my daughter who’s now getting to the right age, but with CDs not so common these days and as I’m not keen to use an iPad or Voice assistant device in the kids rooms, I have been wondering what method would be best.

Enter the tonies® Toniebox which offers a perfect child friendly solution to my dilemma, with screen-free story time and figures which are instantly recognisable to young children enabling my little girl to choose easily, and activate her Toniebox herself.

Colic Awareness Month – Letter to New Parents, and Giveaway

Did you know that September is Colic Awareness Month. It’s something that you probably wouldn’t even think about until you have a new baby, but if your baby does suffer from colic it can make life miserable for all involved! There is no right or wrong answer to how to solve colic, but sharing experiences with other can really help and that’s why Infacol have developed Colic Awareness Month in September as a time for parents, carers and healthcare professionals to swap stories of soothing crying babies and to offer support, solidarity and information to anyone that might be going through a rough first few months with their newborn.

If you are not sure what Colic is all about – according to NHS Choices, colic is the name for excessive, frequent crying in a baby who otherwise appears to be healthy. It affects 1 in 5 babies and tends to begin when a baby is a few weeks old. Normally, it stops at 4 months of age but can go on until a baby is 6 months old. Other signs that a baby might be suffering from colic include when that baby clenches their fists, draws up their legs and goes red in the face. One of the theories is that it is caused by trapped wind which is very uncomfortable for babies.
