Baby Board Books

We’re always on the look out for new books to add to our collection. All of the kids have wide selections of books, and Baby N is no different. I believe in starting children off young with their love of books and reading, so we share stories with her every day and she has plenty of board books to look through and explore.

Here are a few of the books that we’ve been enjoying together recently.

‘Hello Baby’ and ‘Move It’, both from Sterling Children’s, feature real photographs of animals along with simple short sentences on each page.

In “Move It”, Kangaroos jump, penguins waddle and cheetahs sprint as fast as they can! These animals are on the go and having such a good time that children will happily join in the fun. With exciting and friendly photographs, this interactive board book will quickly prompt toddlers to hop like a bunny, strut like a rooster and show off all their cool ‘beast-ly’ moves!

“HELLO, BABY!” is a funny and sweet story about welcoming someone new into the family, with adorable animal photographs and a funny, easy-to-follow text. As well as being enjoyed by babies, this book is perfect for older toddler siblings getting accustomed to the newcomer.

Another really sweet board book that we’ve enjoyed is Little Mouse’s Big Secret by Eric Battut. This funny story is all about a little mouse who buries an apple, not wanting to share. But he doesn’t realise it’s blossoming into an apple tree behind his back! It has a positive message about sharing, and also has lots of repetition to keep little ones engaged.
