  • Scissors
  • Color pencils
  • Glue

Tools

  • Free printable template (optional)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Crafting the Daffodils
Cut out flower petals and green stems from the yellow construction paper. Use your color pencils or markers to draw tiny circles at the center to mimic the intricate details of a daffodil. Then, take a stem from the green paper. Assemble these pieces with a dab of glue to bring your first daffodil to life. Continue until they are all done.
  2. Step 2: The Bouquet Cone
Create a cone from the purple construction paper. Cut a long rectangle and then roll it up with a straight line fold down the middle . This will serve as the holder for your daffodils. Place the assembled daffodils inside this cone, arranging them to look lively.
  3. Step 3: Assembling the Pop-Up
Take your card stock and fold it in half to create the card base. Carefully attach the daffodil cone near the folded edge so that it pops up when the card opens. Ensure there's plenty of room inside the card to add your special message later.
  4. Step 4: The front of the Card
Since the star of this diy Mother's Day card is the pop up bouquet on the inside, you may like to keep the front simple. We like to attach a beautiful photo on the front, either go with a picture of the child, or a picture of mom and child together is a sweet sentiment. You can also include a message on the outside of the card, like happy Mother's Day or have the best Mother's Day or go with a flower themed message like "you make my heart bloom"
  5. Finished Card: Your beautiful pop up daffodil card is finished. When you open the card, it will reveal a gorgeous paper bouquet of daffodils.
