Working with construction paper lets kids trace and cut shapes easily without them folding or tearing too fast, which is ideal when fine motor skills are still developing.
You can use any color of paint that you like best. We picked green paint which brings the holiday season instantly, but red and gold are also great choices to sets the theme quickly and gives that Christmas wreath feel even before you add anything else.
White and blue are also great if you want a snowy vibe.
And yarn is such a fun one to work with because it’s hands-on, a bit stretchy, a bit messy, and perfect for wrapping around cardboard circles or paper plate rings to build hand control and coordination. It’s amazing how something made with such basic materials can turn into a great addition for the holiday season and a fun activity kids of all ages can enjoy.
