A bright and easy winter craft, these snowflake contact paper sun catchers use tissue paper and contact paper to create a colorful stained glass effect kids love. Perfect for freezing January days, it’s a simple snowflake activity that looks beautiful hanging in a sunny window and comes with a free printable template to make crafting quick and stress free.

Materials

  • Snowflake Color Tissue Paper - We used purple, white and blue
  • Tape/contact paper
  • Scissors
  • Construction paper for your border. We used white.

Tools

  • Printer for the template

Instructions

  1. Print and cut the snowflake template.
  2. Cut squares from the tissue papers.
  3. Attach contact paper to the snowflake border and get your tissue squares ready You will be attaching your tissue paper at the back of the template, so make sure the sticky side is at the back
  4. Then attach the tissue papers until you covered the entire template.
  5. Cut the excess contact paper from the template.
  6. Turn it over, and your snowflake suncatcher is ready. Hold it up to the light for the full effect
