Supplies You’ll Need for Your Rocking Chick Craft

To get started, gather these simple materials:

  • Construction paper
  • Glue
  • White marker
  • Scissors

How to Make a Rocking Chick

First, cut a circle from white paper and fold it in half. Then, carefully cut small triangles along the folded edge to create the look of a cracked eggshell. This will give the illusion of a chick just starting to hatch!

Next, cut out the chick using the free printable template and assemble the pieces. You’ll add its little beak, wings, and any other details to bring the chick to life.

For the eyes, cut two tiny circles and color the inside with a marker. Then, attach the finished chick to the back of the folded white paper so it peeks out from the eggshell.

Now, set your Rocking Chick craft on a flat surface and give it a gentle push so it will rock back and forth like a real little chick trying to break free!
