Poster Friend Review

I was recently given the chance to create and review a poster from PosterFriend. This is a company specialising in making posters from the Photographs you have already uploaded on Facebook. If like me you have got quite a wide collection of photos in your Facebook albums, this makes it a really quick and easy way to order a personalised photo of all your favourite pictures.

I have always been in the habit of uploading a few of my favourite pics of the kids since my eldest was born nearly 5 years ago, so by using my Facebook albums this made it so quick to collect all my favourite pictures rather than getting out my external hard drive and trying to go through 5 years worth of archives to find the best pictures (I have a crazy amount so it would have taken me ages and ages!)

The PosterFriend website lets you chose between Portrait, Landscape or Square each in a large or small size. I opted for the large square which is 59x59cm or 23×23″ and sells for £20. You can chose to have 25, 49 or 81 pictures included on the poster – depending how big you want the pictures to be. I went for the middle option of 49 and I think this worked well. The pictures are big enough to see them well, but I was still able to include quite a lot.

You can also chose your background colour from a wide range but I stuck with black because I think it looks stylish and artistic!

Here’s the finished version of my print below – It wasn’t too easy to get a great shot of it (its never that easy taking a photo of a photo! I’m sure its not just me??) but it looks great and I am really happy with it.

Here are some more close ups for you to see some of the pictures I used:

I have gone for a mixture of pictures from over the last 5 years, including my children at all different stages and in a random order rather than putting them chronologically or anything like that. I think this mixed up look is great for us to look at and spot different pictures and remember the occasions they were taken on and the different ages and stages we have enjoyed with the kids. I have included first day at school, Eid days, new baby pics, days out, and just pics that mean a lot to me because I remember those particular days and how much fun the kids have had playing or doing some activities at home.

Included with the poster was a small packet of pins to put the photo on the wall but I think it will be better in a frame to make it last longer. I would have been out to buy the frame today but one of the boys is not well so we’ve had to stay home. I will get it framed soon though and I can’t wait to see how it will look up on the wall – I think it will be great! (I will be back to add another picture here once it is framed and on my wall!)

I would definitely recommend PosterFriend as a very easy way to create a striking poster of all your favourite pictures, especially if you are looking for a good way to display a lot of pictures without making the place look cluttered.

  1. I love this! I am so rubbish at ever getting around to getting prints of photos but I will definitely look at doing a few of these montages to get some of my fave pics up on the wall. Where are you hanging your poster of the boys?
