A sweet winter craft turning your child’s handprint into a friendly moose using simple paper shapes and a printable moose template.
Materials
- Light brown Construction paper
- Dark brown Construction paper
- White Construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Marker
- Free printable template
Tools
- Printer for template if using
Instructions
- Draw around your child's hand onto brown construction paper
- Cut and trace all of the other moose template pieces onto brown construction paper (light or dark as shown) then cut them out.

- You should have a handprint body, a head shape, a muzzle, two antlers and two small white circles for the eyes.
- Glue the lighter brown muzzle onto the bottom of the head shape, then glue the two white circles in place for the eyes.

- Place the antlers behind the top of the head so you can see where they will sit, and line them up with the handprint body.Lift the head, add glue to the bottoms of the antlers and attach them firmly to the back of the head so you have a complete moose face.

- Use a black marker to add pupils to the eyes, along with little white highlights if you like, then draw two nostrils and a curved smile.

- Glue the finished moose head onto the side of the handprint so the fingers become the legs and the thumb points towards the head.

- Finally, use a black marker or small pieces of black paper to add hooves to the ends of each finger leg and your cute moose handprint craft is ready.
