Cotton Wool Tooth Fairy Craft

Create a magical tooth fairy with cotton, googly eyes, and our easy-to-follow template. This enchanting craft is perfect for making the experience of losing a tooth fun and memorable for kids!

Materials

  • Cotton wool
  • Scissors
  • Cardboard or cardstock in white, and a glitter color for the wings
  • Glue stick
  • Googly eyes
  • Purple paper or black paper
  • Yellow or gold paper

Tools

  • Free Printable Template (download PDF at the end of this blog post)

Instructions

  1. Print and Cut the Template Start by printing our free tooth fairy craft template PDF. Carefully cut out the template and trace the tooth shape onto the card board. This sturdy material is perfect for our project, giving the tooth fairy a nice, firm base.
  2. The tooth shape should be cut out onto plain white cardstock while the wings can be with any color of glitter cardstock. We used pink.
  3. Assemble the shape of your tooth fairy by gluing her arms onto the back of her tooth body, do this on the reverse side of the craft.
  4. Now attach the wings
  5. Add the Cotton wool. Next, let's give our tooth fairy a fluffy, cloud-like appearance. You can use a big pack of cotton wool like this, or the ready made cotton balls it's up to you. Apply some glue to the tooth template and gently press cotton onto it. This part is especially fun for kids, as they get to see their fairy take shape with each fluffy piece they add.
  6. Add the Googly Eyes Googly eyes are always a hit with kids. Glue two googly eyes above the smile to bring your tooth fairy craft to life. Your child will love seeing the fairy’s playful expression!
  7. Attach the Smile A tooth fairy isn’t complete without a friendly smile. Cut a small smile shape from your purple or black paper and glue it onto the cotton-covered tooth. This adds a touch of personality and makes your fairy look happy and welcoming.
  8. Attach the Star. Every fairy needs a bit of magic. Cut a star from the yellow or gold paper and attach it to your tooth fairy along with a little wand to hold. This star is the finishing touch that makes your fairy truly enchanting and magical.
