Glitter slime is fun to play with. Once you get started, you’ll find that it is very easy to make.

This super easy sparkly glitter slime recipe is a fun project for all ages.

This DIY slime will be a huge hit at birthday parties and kids will love the beautiful sparkle. Kids of around 4-5+ can make it themselves with a little help or younger children can have it done by their moms or dads, whereas older kids can make this glitter slime independently.

It’s fun to play with and a great activity for kids to enjoy. They will be begging for more and your friends and family will want to join in the fun.

Which glitter to choose for your sparkle glitter slime?

You can take a short cut and substitute your clear glue from the slime ingredient list for clear glitter glue, if you’re in a hurry.

Or add your own glitters and mix, to have more control over the end result and make the activity more fun for the kids.

Fine glitter is great to give a thorough shimmer throughout but you can use chunky glitter if you prefer.

We always like to use bio glitter where possible, as it’s best for the environment.

You can also experiment with things like cupcake sparkles or sequins. This will affect the texture of your slime, so see which you and the kiddos like best.

How to make the slime more stretchy?

If you need to make your slime stretchier, knead it more. Warm it up in your hands and repeatedly knead until it regains a little more stretch.

If your slime hasn’t become stretchy at all, you may need just a little more activator, or make sure your contact solution or slime activator was thoroughly mixed in.

What if the slime is too liquid and gloopy?

Try adding just a little touch more of the bi-carb or baking soda, to firm it up just a little. You don’t want the slime to be sticky to the extent that it leaves marks on the hands. It should stretch cleanly, without sticking to hands or surfaces.

Totally fun!
