Christmas is a great excuse to get playful with food. I love these super cute and easy to make avocado dip Christmas trees as a festive snack for all the family, or as a simple but effective idea for the Christmas party buffet table. You could also team these with some extra chopped veggies for a healthy festive Bento lunch.
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 dessert spoon of lemon juice
- 70g (approx half a tube) Primula cheese with Prawns
- Pitta Breads – Toasted
- Twiglets
- 1 x red chilli – finely chopped
- A few pomegranate seeds (optional)
How to make your Avocado Dip Christmas Trees
Peel and chop the avocado and place in a mixing bowl, add the lemon juice and Primula cheese with prawns. Using a hand blender blitz the mixture until smooth, or mix with a fork.
Cut the toasted Pitta bread into triangles and “pipe” or spread the mixture onto each of the pitta triangles.
Sprinkle each tree with the finely chopped chilli and top with a pomegranate seed.
Place a half twiglet at the base of the “tree” for the trunk.
And you’re done – Don’t they look so cute and festive?!
