If you’re looking for inspiration for Father’s Day, this simple idea is easy for children to put together and will make a personalised gift for Dad

Father's Day handprint craft for kids to make, including a cute poem

We made these handprints for Father’s Day using this handprint poem kit from Baker Ross (they are currently on sale, so pop over and take a look!)

The kit suggests using a photo of Dad but we modified the idea a little to include drawn portraits of Dad instead to make the handprint even more personal.

You will need: Coloured foam sheets, scissors, glue, foam stickers and a foam frame shape, ribbon, paper and colouring pencils

This craft can easily be completed in 5-10 minutes.

First, draw around your child’s hand and cut it out for them, or they might be able to do this themselves

Add your framed picture of Dad, whether that’s a photo or a drawing

And decorate with stars and a crown for Dad

And add your ribbon to hang up. Dad is sure to love this personalised craft made with love especially for him

The Father’s Day handprint kit from Baker Ross comes with the little poem you can see in the pictures, reading:

“My Dad always listen and tries to understand

And when I need a little help he

lends a guiding hand.

This handprint is a special gift because

these words are true,

Daddy you are the best and I love you!”
