I also want to share this handy beach tip that I found out recently : take along some baby powder or talcum powder with you to the beach, it works great to clean sand off your skin. If your children always manage to get covered in sand like mine do, this tip will be a life saver! It works because the baby powder absorbs the water in the sand, turning it non-sticky and making it super easy to just brush off the sand.

Take baby powder to the beach. It's great for removing sand from kids' skin If your kids are eating ice lollies at the beach, another handy tip is to pop a cupcake liner under their lolly to prevent drips and sticky hands. The Beach Book

It’s also a great idea to take along an activity book for the beach. The Beach Book by Jo Schofield is a fantastic guide to fun things to do on the beach, or in other coastal areas. We’ve taken this on trips and on holidays and always found some inspiring ideas to try out – from game ideas, to beach crafts and active exploration.
