With some spare time on our hands, refurbishing your house may be just one of those things you are considering doing. It can be quite challenging to find the opportunity and time to revamp that specific room – or maybe rooms – that you have been thinking about for a while, so maybe during this worldwide pause working on that project may be just what you need to kill sometime and keep yourself productive and busy. We know sometimes we also struggle to find the energy to get that job you have been procrastinating on finally done, and it can be quite stressful to even start researching about it so we will try and help you out a little. This past year has been really strange and tough on all of us so in this post we will try to give you some inspiration that may be just the thing you need right now to lift your mood.

I was born in sunny Brazil, more precisely in Rio de Janeiro. We are known for many amazing things – some not so much – but good weather is definitely one of the biggest things we are proud of. After living in Brazil for 27 years I moved to Dubai and lived there for 7 years…another hot and sunny country so despite the cultural adjustment the weather was just too easy to get used to. Even when we had 50 degrees Celsius days during the long summer I always felt at home. Then came the day I moved to England with my family and things got a little too cold for me. Do not get me wrong I absolutely love it here. But let me talk to you about the weather shock I am still dealing with.  It has been 3 years and I am still not acclimatized and quite frankly I don’t think I ever will. I consider myself a very adjustable person but the grey days here really took me by surprise….not because they are grey and rainy – which I love – but the length really shook me. You may be questioning where am I going with this and let me explain. I am quite obsessed with natural light especially here in England where sunny days are not as frequent as what I am used to so I will share with you some of the ideas I have for my future house.

My husband and I have been debating about moving up North and amongst all the things we are looking for in the perfect house is how much lighting it gets and if there is room for improvement when lighting isn’t great. I absolutely want my new home to have a conservatory or at least room to get it built. This is because the idea of chilling in a glass room with my family and friends, a nice and warm cup of tea, biscuits…that happening as I watch my daughter playing in the garden with our little puppy and her friends sounds truly magical to me. I can already picture the sunlight coming through the glass windows and the warmth hitting my face as I contemplate the perfect house we created for our family. I don’t care about anything else in the house but my perfect little conservatory and as much natural light as possible. I am also a bit crazy about rooflights. If possible I will have one in each room of the house. That’s how much I am into natural light. Even on cloudy days if you have these natural light coming through it changes everything. Also, the idea of watching rain drops and the weather changing just by looking up at my living room ceiling makes my heart warm. Doesn’t it sound incredible? I get excited just talking about it.

Now to the practicalities. If you are considering any of these significant improvements do not forget to check for authorization. I recently discovered you need to get the right documents to get things done to your house so have that in mind before contacting manufacturers. I am sure English citizens are aware of these details but our followers are varied so they could benefit from this little tip. Once you get all this information confirmed its time to look for a reputable and trustworthy company to get it installed and do not cut corners on this phase of your project or you will more than likely have issues down the line. I have neighbours that have done that and and now their brand new conservatory is leaking and the manufacturers want nothing to do with it so be careful of who you chose. Its is a big project and it should be done properly by the best professionals you can find. Do your research and do not rush to make a final decision.

TuffX Glass Manufacturers is the absolute top quality when it comes to high strength toughened glass that meets European Safety Standards. They have nearly 25 years of experience in this business and if you check their website you just know you will be getting the absolute best in the market. You can book a quote with a specialist to cater specifically to your needs and they also deliver nationwide which is a huge plus.

What we want with this post is to hopefully get you inspired to get a little boost in energy and maybe get those little things you wanted to do around the house and been procrastinating finally done. Its been hard…we understand. But the sense of accomplishment you will get once you see it all done will make it worthy.
