For This Recipe, You Will Need:

  • 100 grams walnuts

  • 100 grams pecans

  • 50 grams powdered sugar (Additional 100 grams to roll the balls in)

  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder

Method:

  • In a food processer, coarsely grind the walnuts and pecan nuts.

As you can tell, this delicious dish is easy to make. The preparation time is just under 15 minutes, and as long as you keep them refrigerated, they will last for a long time. For an added kick, you can use crushed almonds or sesame seeds instead of rolling the balls in sugar. If you’d like to avoid sugar altogether, blackstrap molasses offers a lot of health benefits and is a great alternative. Another great alternative is coconut shavings, which will add a tropical twist to this classic. Did you like this recipe? What is your favorite healthy treat?
