This Easter holidays, Ferdinand is taking over London’s most iconic Skyscraper, the Shard, to celebrate the home release of the movie.

Families can take a trip up to London’s highest, and best viewing platform situated at the top of The Shard. At almost twice the height of any other viewing platform in the capital, you can enjoy unparalleled 360-degree views for up to 40 miles. There are two levels in the viewing platform, and on the top level you can take your picture with Ferdinand.

f you’re over 12 years old you can also have a go on a special VR slide up there, and all families visiting will receive a free Ferdinand goodie bag included in their ticket price. The goodie bag has a cuddly Ferdinand soft toy (that you can see my little one holding), stationary set, and more.

We went along last week, and it was our first time visiting the Shard. It was a lovely morning, and the kids were so excited to go up the tallest building in London. The views really are impressive! You can really see far across London and spot many landmarks and famous buildings of interest, like Tower Bridge as you can see below and the kids were excited to spot Wembley Stadium in the distance.

You can take your time to walk all around the viewing platform and see London from all directions, and of course take plenty of pictures too.

It’s a really nice attraction to suit all ages, and is the kind of thing we tend to do if visiting another country as tourists but hadn’t thought to do it in our own home town of London – so I’m really glad we took the chance to visit.

The boys also enjoyed taking part in some fun Ferdinand themed street dancing activities at the event. We haven’t actually seen the movie yet, but with it being released this week I’m definitely planning to have a movie afternoon with the kids ASAP! It looks like it’s going to be great, with lots of music and character.

Ferdinand is released this week – on Digital Download on 10th April and 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on 16th April
