While we were staying in Bluestone recently, we wanted to take the opportunity to go and enjoy one of the sandy beaches nearby on the Welsh coast, as many of our beaches here on the South coast are more rocky. We decided to go for Tenby and the boys had a lovely afternoon playing in the sand. It wasn’t too crowded, and is a lovely relaxing beach for children to play so it would be a good choice if you are holidaying near the area.
Here are some photos from our trip to Tenby Beach
It’s a beautiful beach and lots of fun! All photos here are taken with iPhone as we didn’t want to take our main camera with us, and I wanted to spend more time digging in the sand with the boys than taking photos but you should be able to get a feel for the area!
They spent ages making sand castles, playing football on the beach, burying themselves and each other in the sand and collecting buckets of water for the sea – all those timeless classics that really work much better on a proper sandy beach. I hope we get the chance to visit again in future.

Beautiful. Nothing better than a sandy beach. We went to Weston Super Mare a few weeks ago and I loved it. Your boys look so happy and the photos are great despite being on the phone.

Now that is a lovely beach. We have just been from Cornwall to the south coast visiting Nick’s Mum, the stony beaches are hard underfoot afterthe soft sand here but lovely to see the changes. Looks like your gang really enjoyed the sand and you picked a lovely week to be away. Thank you for sharing on Country Kids.
