Materials
- Construction paper in various colors - we used red, black, white and blue.
- Cardboard or a paper plate
- Scissors
- Glue
Tools
- Printer for the template if needed
Instructions
- Prepare the Base: Start by cutting a circle from your cardboard, or skip this stepand use a paper plate if easier.

- This will be the rocking base for your Dracula. Fold it in half to give it the balance it needs to rock back and forth.

- Add the Dracula Coat: Cut a matching circle from the black construction paper. Glue it onto the cardboard, ensuring it’s centered. Snip a small triangle from the middle of the black circle to create Dracula’s polo look - this detail adds so much personality!

- Trace and Cut: Using the template, trace and cut out all the key pieces: Dracula’s face,
hair
eyes,
bow tie,
and a fancy red cape.
- Assemble the Face and Cape: Attach Dracula’s head to the back of the cardboard circle so it peeks out above his collar.
The red cape should go on the back as well, giving him that iconic vampire flair.
- Finishing Touches: Now for the fun part - add the eyes and a button to the front to give Dracula his spooky look.
Attach the hair and eyebrows to bring some expression to his face,
and finish off with the ribbon bow tie.
Dracula is ready to rock!
This Rocking Dracula is designed to be a hit with kids, especially those in preschool and early elementary school.
Not only is this craft a blast to make, but it’s also a wonderful way for children to build fine motor skills as they cut, trace, and glue. You can change up the colors if you prefer – Dracula’s cape does not have to be red for example, if you prefer something else.
