To get started with these easy ramadan crafts, you’ll need some basic materials, likely already lying around your home.

Here’s how to bring this beautiful mosque craft to life with kids of all ages. 

Materials You’ll Need for the Ramadan Mosque Craft

  • Various colors of construction paper – We used green, purple, orange, red, blue and yellow – whatever colors you like best, or what you have left over from rainbow crafts will work!
  • A free printable template for the mosque shape (available for download below)
  • Brown Craft paper or Card stock
  • An orange pen
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Creating Your Mosque Craft

This Ramadan craft is a vibrant, engaging project that combines creativity with cultural education. Designed for crafters of all ages, it allows children s to explore the beauty of the Ramadan theme through art.

By folding, cutting, and assembling different shapes and colors, children learn about the lunar calendar, the pillars of Islam, and the significance of mosques in a fun and interactive way.

Materials

  • Various colors of construction paper
  • Free printable template (available for download below)
  • Card Stock
  • An orange pen
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Tools

  • Printer for the template

Instructions

  1. Start with the Template: Print and cut out the provided templates.
  2. Trace these shapes onto yellow paper, and cut them out once more.
  3. Fold your craft paper or card stock in half to create a card shape
  4. And begin attaching the yellow paper templates to it, aligning them carefully.
  5. Cut balloon shapes from six different colors of construction paper, using the template These are going to form the main dome of the mosque.
  6. This process will be repeated with each color
  7. Fold each balloon shape in half
  8. And start connecting them together side by side, using the glue
  9. Then once you have them all connected like this get ready secure this assembled piece above the mosque template on your craft paper.
  10. This will give you the basics of your 3D pop up mosque shape.
  11. Place the remaining templates onto your craft, arranging them to complement the mosque and it's 3d dome. We will add a crescent moon on top of the dome, and stars in the night sky, ready for taraweeh prayer.
  12. With an orange pen, draw intricate details on the mosque to bring it to life.
  13. Cut a half-circle from purple paper and attach it at the bottom of the mosque as a door, completing the scene.
