How to make Pan de Campo (Cowboy Bread)

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups flour
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold milk
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • optional extras: orange zest, raisins, cinnamon

How to make the Pan de Campo

Preheat oven to 400F / 200C

Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl

Mix in the wet ingredients. Knead lightly

Roll the dough into a circle about an inch thick

Bake in a well greased pan for 10-15 mins

Let the bread cool. Tear into chunks and enjoy with your favourite jams
