  1. I enjoy carving turnips for my children! Turnips are traditional in our family and I always make a pan of broth with the scooped out turnip to enjoy before we go out trick or treating!

  2. We love making halloween crafts, so far we have made spiders from pipe cleaners and pumpkin window decorations. We are planning on trying out some witches hats from ice cream cones soon!

  3. I’m hoping to take my twins trick or treating for the first time this year. Only to friends and family this time as I don’t know whether they will be frightened knocking on strangers doors x

  4. Lots of fun and games we have already started on the crafts with starting our bats 🙂 but we are going to make some fun shaped cookies over the weekend then creepy cupcakes next week with lots of messy play and fun 🙂

  5. We have been invited to a friends halloween party which is just down the road from us. The children are already very excited. It will be their first Halloween party

  6. I’ve bought loads of stickers and pompoms to make decorations now that nursery is closed for half term. I;ve also bought Halloween lights and decorations and will be making scary buns and carving the pumpkins this week. We’re also going to make up treat bags for the trick or treaters.

  7. My halloween plans for this year is to decorate my house in cobwebs, make a spooky dinner like rats and worms (spaghetti and meatballs), take my children trick or treating then come home and curl up on the sofa with hot chocoate with floatng eyeballs and watch scooby doo with the chidren then a horror with my other half when the kids are asleep 🙂

  8. I have a 5 year old and a 15 month old so we’re going to have a little tea party with dressing up, spooky food and Halloween games 🙂

  9. its the hubbys birthday, not sure if we are all going out for a family meal. if we don’t I will take our daughters round the local neighbours trick n treating.

  10. Halloween is also my birthday so all the family come round and we’ve got the house all decked out for Halloween, giant spiders everywhere, spooky candles,a hanging zombie that screams, witches that cackle even Halloween crackers x

  11. We got dressed up and went out round town pretending to be what we were dressed as, our children are very young yet, so no trick or treating until they’re a bit older

  12. My favourite halloween craft is printing off labels that say things like ‘witches brew’ and putting them on soda pop bottles – so simple to do and the kids love it.

  13. We did a bunch of things! We did some crafts, colouring, made flying bats, a lantern and of course carved a pumpkin! Face painting, Halloween party and spooky (child friendly) movies!

  14. We did some Halloween crafts at our local garden centre, pumpkin carving and then my Daughters got all dressed up for Trick or Treating.

  15. It was the last year of going out trick or treating as our Grandaughter has said next year she wants to give out the treats. So a sad night it was for us 🙁
