WWE Create and Customise a Superstar Range Review

WWE Create and Customise a Superstar is a new range of WWE toys from Mattel, and it’s a big hit with my kids especially my 4 year old R. The range includes a variety of mix and matchable figures, and the WWE Create a Superstar Ring Builder play set, which can be built into a ring for your figures to fight and play in, in lots of different layouts and formats.

The WWE Create a Superstar Ring Builder play set

This set comes with all the pieces you need to make a multi story WWE fighting ring, with different platforms, and chains. The pieces just click together and come apart again quite easily to rebuild. R (4) needed some help from me to rebuild the layouts, but with adult help it was very quick and easy and my older boys could manage it themselves. The instruction booklet included comes with several suggested layouts (like the one above) but you can also improvise and make up your own (like the one below)

The ring builder set includes over 30 pieces and is available for around RRP 39.99. The set is available from good toy shops including online at Amazon (currently with a great discount!)

As you can see, it’s pretty big when build so plenty of space for siblings to play together. You can separate all of the pieces and store back in the box when not in use.

The ring builder set doesn’t include figures, so unless you already have some WWE figures then you’ll need to buy a couple to go along with it.

WWE Create and Customise a Superstar Figure Assortment

There’s a good variety of figures available, and we got Triple H and Hulk Hogan, both of which come with extra body parts and accessories to mix and match. As you can see the Triple H pack is bigger, this is a deluxe pack which comes with more parts, and the Hulk Hogan is a standard figure.

With one deluxe and one standard figure pack, the boys have plenty to mix and match so I would say this is an ideal amount to go with the ring play set. Even separately from the ring, these figures have been getting a lot of play. They are something that R keeps returning back to daily, and he loves swapping the parts and customising each character.

I don’t think your child even needs to be a big fan of watching WWE on TV to enjoy these toys. My boys actually don’t watch it, but despite that, R is crazy about the WWE toy range. They work really well for imaginative play – especially these new figures with the customisable elements. I think they would appeal to most boys of around 4-8 years old (manufactors recommended age is 6+)

Prices for the figure assortment vary from around 14.99 and up
