Last weekend we went along to Legoland Windsor for the UK premiere of the new 4d adventure, showing in the 4D theatre in the park. The new 4D show is 12 minutes long and is based on the LEGO movie, and features favourite characters from the show ( Emmet, Wyldstyle, Unikitty, MetalBeard and Benny) in a new adventure when they visit LEGOLAND – well.. they think it’s LEGOLAND, you’ll find out what really happens when you watch!
We always enjoy the 4D shows at LEGOLAND and this one didn’t disappoint! The shows are a great way to add some variety into your day and to relax when you want to take a break from rides.
The new 4D adventure has plenty of laughs in it, to keep all ages happy, and the 4D effects always make the show much more exciting than just a normal 3d movie. This one includes wind, water, fog and lightning, among other effects!
The attraction was developed by Merlin Entertainments together with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and The LEGO Group and the creative team received input from “The LEGO® Movie™” writer-directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, as well as Rob Schrab, who is set to direct the movie’s sequel. You can definitely tell that the LEGO movie writers had a hand in creating this 4D show as it has a really consistent feel to the movie.
Watch the trailer for the new 4D adventure here, and do make sure to check it out if you’re visiting LEGOLAND soon!
When we visited, we noticed that even the normal cinema scene in mini-land had been turned into a premiere for the new 4d adventure, complete with Unikitty on the red carpet! It’s this kind of attention to detail that I love about LEGOLAND.
Speaking of Miniland, this was the first time we checked out the Star Wars Miniland that you find near the beginning of the park, as our boys have started to get more interested in Star Wars lately. This section has a new 2.4 metre wide, 3 metre high Death Star added to the end of the section, made from over 500,000 bricks! We were really impressed with all of the Star Wars LEGO models in this area and it has been made quite interactive too with plenty of buttons to press to activate lights and movement with the scenes, so the boys really enjoyed this.
We always have a great day out whenever we visit LEGOLAND. It’s a perfect place to go with our kids ages of 4, 6 and 7 and they absolutely love it, as you can see by these happy faces!
LEGOLAND Windsor is now open for the Summer season, so if you do go along and check out the new 4D show then let me know what you think.

Kaleidoscope Have fun making this Kaleidoscope craft with the kids. This simple kaleidoscope works best when it is held up to the light.
