Legoland Nexo Knights Fireworks

We always really enjoy the fireworks shows at Legoland Windsor, and this year it’s with a Nexo Knights theme! The Fireworks show is included in your ticket price, so you can go along for a whole day at the park and then finish off the evening with a bang as you enjoy the fireworks. Some rides even open up again for after dark fun after the fireworks finish, so if you want to extend your evening even more then you can stay for that too.

There’s also special events going on during the fireworks days, like the chance to meet Nexo Knight character Lance outside the Imagination Centre, or take part in creative Lego activities like building your own Lego shield

You can also spot some Halloween displays around in Miniland, where they have pumpkins on show, and take part in fancy dress competitions during the Halloween season this half term.

One of the cool features with the Legoland fireworks is the 3D exploding brick effect that you get while watching the fireworks with the LEGO® 3D Brick glasses. I’ve never seen 3d fireworks anywhere else, so this is really unique and it’s a fun way to bring the “Lego” theme into the fireworks, as you actually see Lego bricks shooting out of the fireworks into the air! The LEGO® 3D Brick glasses are available for £1.50 from all retail outlets around the resort.

There are lots of places to see the fireworks from around the park. Legoland recommend heading to either Miniland, Heartlake City Harbour, Fire Academy or LEGO® City for the best viewing areas, and in the past years we have viewed from this areas very comfortably.

This year, we decided to try out the Premium Brick Seating which gives you a seat in a private area overlooking Miniland, so you’ll be guaranteed a great view and lots of comfort. Since I’m heavily pregnant at the moment, due in less than two months, we thought it would definitely be worth it to book these seats. Although it’s not the cheapest option, you do get quite a lot for your money in addition to the actual seat. You get a goodie bag for each member of the family, which includes the 3D Brick Glasses, along with a LEGO biscuit, LEGO minifigure keyring and small LEGO Nexo Knights set to build along with a couple of other things, and once you’re seated waiting for the fireworks the Legoland staff bring you some complimentary drinks and snacks, so we felt quite pampered sitting comfortably enjoying our hot chocolate and muffins while we waited for the fireworks show to start!

The actual fireworks show lasts around 20 minutes and has a voice over featuring Nexo Knights characters, to add excitement to the fireworks performance. You might recognise the audio track from the ‘The Book of Creativity’ 4D show, since it tells the same story. I hadn’t noticed that but as we did watch the 4D show earlier in the day the kids spotted it!

It’s hard to show the full effect of the fireworks in photos or videos, but watch our video to get a bit of a feel for the fireworks – and I’d definitely recommend going to experience it for yourself if you can!
