That being said, there are a lot of different ways of going about finding that perfect party or Halloween look, and it can be difficult to decide which to go with. First, let’s take a quick look at shop-bought costumes.
Convenient

When you go the DIY route, there’s always a chance that what you create won’t look great. If you’re sustainably minded, then you might want to go with a DIY option. That way, you can recycle materials (old bedsheets, t-shirts) that you’d otherwise end up throwing away, thereby doing your little bit to save the planet.
Time-consuming
Despite DIY costumes being fun and a little more sustainable, they’re definitely more time-consuming than a store-bought option. If you’ve got plenty of free time to dedicate to crafting your perfect look, then that might not be an issue.
If, however, you’re rushing to get your costume together at the very last minute, that might simply not be possible.
There’s no right or wrong choice between these two options, but there are some clear pros and cons to each.
