As we’ve just got back from our first visit to Disneyland Paris, it was perfect timing to try out the Disney Eye Found It game that we were recently sent. This is a fun board game aimed at ages 4+ and it features lots and lots of our favourite familiar Disney characters.
Disney Eye Found It is a traditional race to the finish type of board game, but with some extra twists that definitely give it a more unique feel. The board is huge – it stretches out to 6 foot long! This splits into 3 pieces and folds down to easily fit inside the box.
The aim of the game is to reach the magical castle at the end of the board before the clock strikes midnight. While players are travelling along the board, they may land on a search space on the board or on the spinner, and they then need to pick a search card to find what category of object to search for across all of the pictures on the board.
There are 12 different Disney realms shown across the board, each with lots of detail. These realms include:
- Disney Pixar Cars
- The Little Mermaid
- Phinneas and Ferb
- Beauty and the Beast
- Mickey and Friends
- Alice in Wonderland
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Peter Pan
- Disney Pixar Monsters Inc
- Winnie the Pooh
And there are over 1000 things to find amongst all of these realms. It’s a great game to work on visual processing skills, as the children carefully look for all the treasures on their cards, and it works really well for a wide age range as adults can enjoy it too alongside the children.
You can play with 1-6 players, each being represented by one of their favourite Disney characters:
Mr Z and I had loads of fun with the game, and I can definitely see this coming out again and again. Any Disney fan will love it, and it would make a great game for family game nights or over the Christmas season.
