BlizzCon
If you like Blizzard games, then attending BlizzCon might have to be on your bucket list.
For being as niche as it is, the con is pretty big, with fans visiting from all around the world.
During the con, you get to see new releases or updates for Blizzard games and talk to some of the developers for games such as Diablo, World of Warcraft, Overwatch 2, and Starcraft.
However, they do change times and dates fairly often, so you’ll want to keep track of their announcements to make sure you don’t miss anything.
The con is held yearly in November in Anaheim, California. It’s best to fly into Los Angeles and drive there, as it’s only a thirty-minute drive, and it’s easy to find rides to and from each city.

If you want to arrive in style, check out a luxury ride service. Some companies offer LAX airport transfers, so you can head straight from the airport to the convention to get the most out of your time there.
DreamHack
DreamHack occurs throughout the world. However, the biggest and best is often considered to be the one in Sweden.
DreamHack tends to focus on esports, though it’s still considered a broad gaming convention and includes all sorts of gaming information, tournaments, new game releases, and cosplays. The convention is full of all kinds of merch and people to meet.
DreamHack was actually in the Guinness Book of World Records for throwing the largest LAN party.
While the one in Sweden may be the biggest, the others are all amazing in their own right.
You can show up in person or join the LAN for an extra day of awesomeness.
ChinaJoy
ChinaJoy sees more than 200,000 attendees almost every year. Its official name is China Digital Entertainment Expo & Conference, but most people just shorten it to ChinaJoy.
There are over 3,500 games per year showcased during the convention, and visitors from over 30 different countries stop by to visit.
ChinaJoy has plenty of events to keep a gamer entertained, from a game award ceremony, tournaments, cosplay contests, and talks with game developers.
Usually, the expo is held every year around July. It’s usually located in Shanghai, China.

The expo caters to all sorts of digital games, including online, console, and web games.
However, new hardware releases, designs, development plans, and ideas are announced and explored during the event as well.
Tokyo Game Show
Are you a fan of Square Enix? If so, you don’t wanna miss the Tokyo Game Show.
While it has a lot of different games and companies, it’s a big event center for Square Enix, especially for those that like to stay up-to-date on their releases and constant delays.
The Tokyo Game Show is a big event for releases. What doesn’t get released during E3 gets released at this game show.
The events, stalls, and competitions are guaranteed to keep you entertained.
Brasil Game Show
Another huge game show is the Brasil Game Show. Though it isn’t the biggest, it was the first convention to break 300,000 guests.
This is a gaming convention for everyone, as it promotes small and large games, Kickstarters, and cosplayers.
It also mixes up the traditional gaming convention by encouraging developers and fans to intermingle.

There’s also a lot of entertainment and reveals, which makes the event fun, educational, and exciting.
Taipei Game Show
Taipei offers a mix of in-person and online events for people to make the most of their time.
There is plenty to explore with gaming halls, exhibitions, and even trade shows.
What makes this expo unique is that it’s the only convention located in all of Taiwan that is entirely focused on gaming.
It’s been going on since 2003 and is usually held in February. It’s a relatively short event, only lasting about four days. This makes it one of the first gaming events of the year.
Gamescom
If you want to go to the absolute biggest expo for games, you have to visit Gamescom in Germany.
It’s similar to the E3 gaming expo held in the United States but it’s for all of Europe.
It holds some of the biggest and best names throughout the whole gaming industry.
You can often see upwards of 300,000 people attending the expo, which is what makes it the biggest video game convention in the world.

Despite being so big, it’s open to anyone in the general population, so people from all over the world come and visit.
The expo often lasts about five days and is usually in August, but keep an eye out in case they change it up. If you can’t afford to go, they also offer options for joining online.
