It’s such an exciting time when there’s a new baby in the family, whether your own or little nieces, nephews, cousins or family friends joining the wider family. We’re expecting our own little girl in just a couple of weeks and I’m lucky to have some friends and family due soon too, so she will have some ready made little friends!
Whenever there’s a new baby coming, I’m always keen to find some lovely gifts for them so I was interested to check out the Baby Box Company who have some new baby gifts and hampers for new mums and babies.
We were sent this gorgeous baby girls luxury hamper to review, and I was really happy with it. I’d definitely be pleased to receive this as a gift, and would feel happy to give one of these to my friends and family too.
The box includes:
- 2 Aden & Anais muslin squares
- Bright Pink Duck Handprinted baby bodysuit (age 0-3 months)
- Lamaze Play and Grow, My Friend Emily
- Sock Ons in Fuchsia Pink
- Beanie Hat, White, 100% Cotton
- Sleep Suit, Cotton, White Giraffe Print (age 0-3 months)
- Bandana Bib, White, Cotton and Velcro fixing
- Wild Olive Lavender & Patchouli Luxury Bath Salts
This is a really nice selection, with everything being practical and something that will get plenty of use – but also really cute and nicely presented. I like how it includes a toy along with the clothes, and even something for mum too with the bath salts – which smell amazing and make the whole box scented when you open it!
The toy which is included is a lovely one for very young babies as it has so many textures and sensory aspects to it. I had been wanting to get a little doll for my baby girl, so this is perfect – and since it’s a Lamaze toy, it’s a really trusted brand which I already know is good quality.
The muslins are also a really good brand, being Aden and Anais, and the quality of the clothes is all really good – you can feel that the fabric is nice and soft and a decent thickness. The hat and bib are very handy too. I haven’t come across a lot of dribble bibs in plain white, and actually it’s really useful as it’ll go with everything whereas a lot of the others I have are patterned and coloured so I need to be careful when matching those up with outfits – so I was really pleased with the plain white one.
Another lovely touch with the baby box is that there was a little card inside suggesting that you might want to keep the box to re-purpose it as a baby treasure basket, and giving a few ideas for bits to put inside that. My older kids loved this kind of thing as babies, and they’re so simple to make but you might not always think of it – so it was great to have this little reminder included too.
As well as the baby box I’ve shown, there are plenty of other baby hamper and baby gift options available on the Baby Box Company site too. If you’re buying for a boy or need a unisex hamper as the baby’s gender is going to be a surprise, there’s plenty to choose from. You can also get hampers in just plain white colours, or with a focus on bright colours, and you can choose from smaller or larger hampers to fit in your budget. The smaller ones start at only £15.00, whereas the one I’ve shown here is £60.00 and you can also go for the Ultimate luxury options for £100 if you want to treat someone even more!
You can also buy stand alone items, either for baby or for mum if there’s one or two things in particular that you’ve spotted in a hamper and want, or need extras of.
