How to Use the Autumn Fingerprint Art Templates
To get started, you’ll need your chosen templates, washable child-safe finger paints, and a shallow plate or paint tray. Orange, yellow, red, brown, and green work well for these pictures. Have a damp cloth handy for cleaning fingers between colors, and cover your table before you begin. Paper works well with a light layer of paint, while printer-friendly card stock gives the finished artwork a sturdier feel.
Print the blank pages you want to use and keep the completed examples nearby, either on paper or on your screen. Show your child how to dip a fingertip lightly into the paint, press it onto the page, and lift it straight up. A little paint goes a long way, so try a few practice prints on scrap paper first.
