This Pom Pom Painted Easter Egg activity is a fun way to get in some fine motor practice with the kids, and to explore painting with different materials. You could use the finished pictures to make Easter cards, or turn them into seasonal decorations for the home, or for your Easter Egg hunt.
The finished Easter Eggs look great with bold and bright colours!
- White paper or card stock (or use a canvas and add this to your easter decorations!)
- washable paints
- clothes pins or pegs
- pom poms
- Paper plate or paint palette
Use the marker to draw an egg shape on the paper
Pick up the pom poms with the clothes pins.
We used various types of pom poms and cotton balls for a different effect. The spikey pom poms were my favorite, if you dab it just right the imprint resembles a firework!
Let the kids experiment and play around with the different looks of each pom pom or cotton balls.
To add a little sparkle, sprinkle glitter onto the wet paint. It will act as a glue and stick once dry!
