In hot weather, you can’t beat a water fight! My kids are all crazy about water blasters, water balloons and anything that allows them to get themselves and everyone else completely soaking! So luckily the weather has been nice lately, to allow for lots of fun water activities in the garden.

We have been trying out a few new products from Zuru, which have been so much fun.

Bunch O Balloons Water Filler/Soaker (rrp: £12.99) and Bunch O Balloons 100 Rapid-Filling Self-Sealing Water Balloons (3 Pack) (rrp: £9.99)

This water balloon filler makes it so quick and easy to get the water balloons ready en-masse, making for a fast and furious water fight. Luckily for me, the boys were able to do all of this themselves as it’s very simple – and they had been filling them up from the hot tub so I didn’t even mind getting soaked as the water wasn’t too cold!

Once the balloons are filled up, even our toddler loved throwing them around the garden, making a huge splat when they land on the paving. It’s quite good stress release as a parent too, so I have to admit I threw quite a few myself 😀

A brilliant thing about these water balloons is that they are actually made from recyclable material! I was surprised but really happy to find this out.

With the water filler, it is a 2 in 1. You can also use it as a water blaster once you’re ready to move on from your balloons. My kids also loved using it this way, as it’s great for targeting people in a water fight, especially if you’re based in a paddling pool or hot tub to keep filling it back up, and it can blast pretty far.

X-Shot Water Warfare Micro Fast-Fill Water Blaster (rrp: £10.00) and X-Shot Water Warfare Fast-Fill Water Blaster (rrp: £12.99)

Both of these water blasters allow you a really fast fill, where you can refill your blaster in just 1 second and get back to the water blasting action long before your opponents – critical in a water fight as that’s the time you tend to get taken down when you’re standing defenceless at the tap, waiting to “recharge”

With these guns, you can just dunk, fill and close with rapid sealing technology, and because it as a wider opening it really is much quicker – allowing you to up your water fight game!

My kids play lots of games with the water blasters, sometimes they will start out with the smaller one and then whoever wins the water fight has to get upgraded to the bigger size gun. Or they will make bases and camps from the climbing frames in the garden, and use those for their water fight strategy. They also combine it with other activities like one will blow bubbles, then another one grabs the water blasters and uses it to target and pop the bubbles with the water. My toddler also loves the Micro x-shot, as she can do activities like spraying chalk targets, or one day we drew some big pictures of flames on the paving and asked her to be a fire fighter with the water blaster. There are so many possibilities, and water play always brightens up their moods on a hot day!
