I remember the moment when my little one stomped her foot and hollered, simply because she couldn’t pick which book to read. That day I realised I needed to understand behaviour in a deeper way. I turned to human design and found something surprising in our family dynamic.
When I tried the Human Design Chart , things slowly became clearer for me. I put in our birth details and looked at the chart on the screen. I did not know much about Human Design, so I just sat with it for a while. What caught my attention was how it gently pointed out something simple: we all move through the day in our own rhythm. My energy rises and dips in a certain way. My daughter feels things in her own timing. Suddenly our tricky moments made more sense. It was not about good or bad behaviour. It was just how we are built to move through the day.

I noticed how she can go from calm to stormy fast. And how I sometimes rush without meaning to. Before, I responded to her outbursts with the same old line: Just calm down and choose a book. It never worked. Now I try something different. I say: I see you are upset. Do you want to pick one together or sit quietly first. That small shift changed so much. I realised she needs space when her feelings come up. And I can hold that space better when I slow myself down.
We still have loud moments. She still stomps through the hallway. She still yells when her emotions overflow. But the aftermath is gentler now. We do not collide as often. We do not rush to fix. I let her feelings be real. I let my presence be enough.
The biggest thing I learned is that every childs Human Design Chart is unique. No two children express themselves the same way. It is not about judging behaviour as good or bad. It is about understanding that each child has their own way of reacting, feeling, resting, or jumping back in. When I saw my daughters chart, I stopped thinking she was testing me on purpose. I started to see that she was simply being herself. And when I parent in a way that matches who she is, the tension fades. We understand each other more.
Little changes began to show up in our days:
- I slowed down when she had big feelings
- I stopped trying to fix her mood and started sitting with it
- I let her choose what she was ready for
- I paid attention to my own energy before reacting
- I stopped saying calm down and started saying I see you

These tiny steps did not make life perfect. But they made our home softer. More breathable. More connected.
If you are curious, you can try a Human Design Software. Use it as a gentle guide, not a strict rulebook. The charts are not boxes to fit into. They are invitations. Invitations to slow down. To recognise waves. To hold space. To let each of you be seen for who you naturally are.
Now, when my daughter stomps because she cannot choose a book, I do not jump in to fix it. I lean in quietly. I listen. We breathe. And we grow together, one small moment at a time.
