To make this flower craft, all you need is a few simple materials, and these can be made with the kids in just a few minutes.
To make your fingerprint Flower craft you will need:
- Craft foam (pre cut flowers are ok)
- Craft sticks (popsicle sticks)
- Non toxic paint
Instructions for the thumbprint popsicle stick flower craft:
If you are not using pre cut foam flower shapes, then draw a flower shape on the craft foam and cut out.
Press the thumb into pain and imprint the thumb onto the center of the flower. Do this for each “petal”
Allow the paint on your flowers to dry fully and then glue each one onto a popsicle stick.
And they’re done. Very simple and cute! These easy flower crafts are perfect for younger toddlers who have a short attention span for crafting, but still want to see some cute results for their project.
You can use this craft to talk together about colours and counting. Which colour do you like best for your flower? How many petals are on each one? Let’s count! These type of activities are a great way to reinforce these early learning concepts in a fun and natural way for your child, while spending quality time together.
