With the cold weather here it’s the perfect excuse to get started on some Winter crafts and snowflakes are always a favourite. Although if your kids are fans of Frozen, they’ll be likely to love these magic snowflake wands all year round! This snowflake wand craft is quick and easy to make, and you can have fun playing with it once you’re done putting it together.
We made our snowflake wands using supplies from Baker Ross, who always have great value craft kits for the different seasons and holidays of the year.
To make the snowflake wand, you’ll need a large foam snowflake, a stick, coloured ribbon, sparkly foam stickers, sequins and white glue.
It’s an ideal craft for even young children. Toddlers could make these with some help, and my 4 and 5 year olds enjoyed making them independently. Sticking down all the sequins is good fine motor practice and kids can think about the patterns that they want to make and colours that they want to use.
Once everything is stuck down, leave a few minutes for the glue to dry before playing with the wands. Don’t they look pretty?
You can buy the snowflake wand kit in packs of 4 for 3.49 or 16 for 13.12
