Recently we were sent a selection of tea from teapigs who are a green and ethical company, with a massive range of good quality teas. All their teas are real whole leaf teas and come in special “tea temples” which give you the same convenience a tea bag would, but allow enough room for the whole tea leaves to infuse.

How to make iced tea, and which types of tea are better for each variety

So, we got our hands on some teas from teapigs, and I was been pretty excited to try them out. They’re all about being green and ethical, which is a big plus.

The coolest part? Their teas come in these neat “tea temples.” They’re like a cross between a tea bag and loose-leaf tea – super convenient but with plenty of room for the leaves to do their thing.

We made some delicious iced tea with these, and I will share with you the easy method how to make iced tea.

Now, let’s talk about flavor variety – because when it comes to iced tea, the possibilities are nearly endless. You can stick to the classics like a refreshing mint or a bold Earl Grey, or get adventurous with fruity blends and herbal infusions.

One of my personal favorites is Passion Iced Tea Lemonade – It’s a vibrant mix of sweet, tart, and tropical flavors that’s perfect for those really hot days. And don’t be afraid to experiment!

Try adding a splash of lemonade to your favorite tea, or infuse it with fresh fruits and herbs. Each combination brings its own unique twist, making every glass of iced tea a new discovery.

The people at teapigs wanted us to explore how their teas could be used in different ways, especially as ingredients for iced teas and cocktails. In the Summer when we get sunny days, iced tea is so refreshing.

I love iced tea but for some reason it had never occurred to me to have a go at making it myself! It’s a great alternative to drinking juice or lemonade on hot days, as it’s all natural and less than 3 calories per cup! It has been really handy to just make a jug and keep it available in the fridge, and that also works out a lot cheaper than buying ready made bottles of iced tea from the newsagents.

As you can see above, the method of making iced tea is pretty simple:
