Materials
- Kitchen roll (paper towels)
- Water-based markers (various colors)
- Sharpie
- A white bowl or plate
- Cups or jugs for pouring water
- Your imagination!
Instructions
- Gather all the supplies and set up your workspace. Make sure to have a flat, clean surface to work on. Lay out the kitchen roll sheets and arrange your markers. Fold each piece of kitchen roll in half
- Using the sharpie markers, draw simple shapes and outlines on the top layer of the kitchen roll. This can include anything from butterflies, cupcakes, trees, suns, or even your favorite cartoon characters. Let your creativity shine! Make sure to draw on the top layer of the kitchen roll only, leaving the bottom layer blank.)
- Now we will add the hidden colors. The outline should have gone through to the lower layer of your folded paper towel. So, on the bottom layer, which is now hidden, fill in the shapes with vibrant colors using your water based markers or felt tips. You can be as colorful and creative as you want! Just remember, the colors should stay hidden when the paper is folded.
- Fill a bowl or plate with a shallow layer of water.
